While some hot trends may come and go, a good bet is a career in finance and accounting. These careers always seem to be hot because the need for professionals in these fields always seems to be growing, while other fields may be standing still or falling. There is a good chance that a company would hire someone with accounting and finance as their background as they will offer a specific set of skills that could be very valuable to the company. When deciding to study for a career, you want to do research on the field, because even though careers may be hot today, they could fade away. That is why when trends change, individuals who have a skill set in health care and finance remain in high demand.
Computer programming is also an area of high demand, the downside of this is that technology in computers changes rapidly and you would most likely need to continue your education in order to keep up with this. You would have to decide if this is something you would want, or be able to do in the future.
It is important to keep in mind that when you choose a career, you want to do something that you will enjoy, but that will also be sustainable. You never want to choose a career if it is something that you can't see yourself doing for years to come. At the times, something's may seem interesting, and hot, but if your interest fades, you will be stuck with a job that you no longer want to do. Research the longevity in any career that may seem like a trend. Your future is to important not to know everything you can about a particular career.
